Mine doesn't have a hole there. Just a flat. SO... I'm going to guess that a previous owner added a temp sender... or water pressure sender... or something. regardless... that's part of the cooling system, and should be plugged.
 
Wierd , cause the guy who had the boat before me was a take it to the shop kinda guy. and on both sides i noticed yesterday have that same hole. with no plugs. just doesnt make sense. I wont be back up to the boat till the 4th of july now. i will update when i get back up.
 
Water vaporizer? What's that??

There's no part that goes there. Look on the parts explosion. BUT... if a shop sells you something... please let us know what you get.
 
Still don't know what it could be. You have a "Water Separating" fuel filter. But it's on the side of the engine. (The big spin on filter) But please... post up what you get.

DR. i will , The place i went to is very reputable. but i must have been confused when he called me. i will be there on the 5th and will post when i get back exactly what everything was
