I have a 2000 seadoo gtx mill edition, I have this completly torn down, my question is the fuel lines have already been replaced but the vent lines are grey and factory, and has a gas ooze coming out of it, I can blow and suck air from the vent behind the right side cover but I cannot blow or suck any air from the vent under the right front rub rail...I am going to replace these lines and my question is 1 should I run all marine hoses in this just like a boat...and 2 how do the vents work, do they only let air in or out so that I can check the check valves or does one let air in and the other let air out?

you don't need to replace the vent lines, they will be fine since they don't sit in fuel to deteriorate from the gas. depending on which lines your blowing on, they will have check valves in them. the fuel tank vent is probably the one that you think you can't get air to go either way, it has a check valve to relieve air pressure from gas expansion due to temp change but won't allow water/air to get in, as your sucking, it's a sealed system, take the gas cap off and suck, you should get air then.

my doo is gutted right now, the tank vent to the y splitter hose is not attached to anything, The tank vent comes up to the "Y" then splits goes to a vent behind the right plastic cover which is the one air can go in and out of right now, then from the "Y" the other vent hose goes under the right front rub rail, there neither can I blow or suck any air from that line, I am replacing the lines because of that problem along with the fact there is an old gas oooze coming out of the line that goes to the tank like the gas got into the vent tube and is melting the clear plastic away inside the lines.
