2000 GTX running problems

hi i was wondering if anyone could possibly diagnose my seadoo problem.
it does not go over 20 km/hr and it goes slower and slower depending how much weight is on it. for a 980 cc machine clearly there is some kind of engine issue. i brought it to a dealer and they couldnt tell me what is wrong with it. they said the compression is fine and to change the spark plug wires. i did this and changed the spark plugs, bought new impellar, crank seals, and it still runs horrible. does anyone have any ideas??

This seadoo has a 947 in it. In 2000 they made 3 GTX's: one that is carborated, one that is fuel injected, one that is a DI.

Which one do you have?

Also, is it going that slow and the engine is still reving up or is it going slow and the engine is bogging down.

Slow speed/High RPMs always points to a propulsion problem, usually the wear ring.

Slow speed/Low RPMs usually points to a fuel problem.

thanks alot for the quick reply, i realy appreciate it.
the seadoo is DI and it does rev up rather than bog down. you can see the impellar spinning faster and faster in the water but it doesnt effect how fast the seadoo actualy moves. i'm confused because i replaced the impellar and the crank seal so i'm unsure what else it could be

wear ring

the wear ring, stud. Goes around the impellor, inside pump assy. If the gap gets tobe too muchbetween the impellor and wear ring (.040),theres no pressure creating, resulting in forward movement of ski....

I don't understand. You replaced the crank seals? The engine has to be taken apart to do this.
One thing you should check is the carbon ring on the driveshaft.

thanks again everyone for replying so quickly.
we have a bran new wear ring in there also but i think ill take it off and check the gap all the way around maybe its fussyer then i thought, .04 isnt that much, it runs and revs good out of the water its just once you put a load on it that it doesnt move fast. i think ill pull that wear ring off today and check my gaps. and we had a fuel system check at the dealership so its good, compressions mint 120psi new crank seals, both fuel filters, new coil wires and caps.
