My friend and I share a 2000 gtx. The last time he rode it he said it started running really bad and stalled while he was on the water he found that one of the fuses had blown. he just grabbed one from an existing fuse being used in the ski and put it in where the spot where the fuse had blown. It did run but like crap he said and he drove it like that back to shore. when he got back to shore he replaced the fuses and it would not turn on or start nothing at all like there was no battery on it. so i went over to try and figure it out. but no luck I checked power battery is good im getting power at the mpem. I pressed the start button 5 times and nothing . I am new and this is my first thread any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like we have a similar problem...

At first, it was starting for about ten seconds and blowing the 15amp fuse in the MPEM with a bit of smoke coming from the injector. Everyone told me it was the rectifier. So I put in a rectifier as this is common to go on these and I put in a new battery.

Now, when I put in either of my three landyards I get the gauge/dash display and I hear the fuel pump come on, but I get no beeps and no cranking. It does not beep after hitting the start/stop button five times either. The battery reads 12.51 volts and the solenoid reads 12.51 volts. It does crank when I jump the solenoid.

Some say it's the solenoid and others say it's the post. I'll let you know if I figure something out.......
