Hey everyone, Im new to Sea Doo Forum. I have a 2000 GTX DI with no power. The battery has 14 volts and is fully charged. I bought it maybe 3 months ago. When I put the key on I get nothing. Not a beep and nothing on the displays. It has been sitting for maybe 45 days? Just wondering is anyon has any ideas?

wash and clean the dess key real well (dish soap and water) rinse it good post and key. clean the bat terminals real well, and put a pat of grease on them, and re assemble.
i hurt my finger today on the log splitter, so no caps. sorry punctuation gone poor.

I checked the 4 fuses in the front of the ski, they are all good. would it be possible that I have a bad key? its pretty "worn"

how do you know it is fully charged? a bad bat can have (though not usually) 14 volts, but no amps, if it is messed up.

You can over volt those things, and mess up the mpem. do not use bat charger while hooked to the doo. do not jump start it, with the host motor running. you can jump it with the host motor off. in fact, i'd try it.

If you have done that, you may have messed up the mpem. there is a guy around here somewhere that fixes them, although he recently has moved, and has been a bit erratic lately. did you check the bat terminal connections?

It is possible your key is bad and the chip inside is so scratched up that it will not read. If you decide to get a new DESS lanyard then you will have to take it to the dealer to get it programed.

Before you do that, you want to make sure it is that for sure. Seadoo's have a 30 sec timer that will power up the ski for that time even with out the key. You should be able to push the start button with out the key on and you should get power to the gauges, VTS, etc.

Usually when your DESS post ans key are bad it will just not allow the engine to turn over because it is not reading it correctly.
