2000 GTX 951 that I've owned for about 4 years, but has been sitting for 3. Was inspecting the engine after first ride of the season today. Concerned about things i found laying in the hull near the drain plugs. First was a chunk of metal roughly 1"x1" that looks like it's from the crankcase/reed valve area, based on the stamp. Tried to feel for a hole in the case or see one with a mirror, but couldn't fit my hand and didn't have enough light to get a good view. Also found what looks like a plastic bolt or plug about 3/4" long. I'm posting pictures of both as well as the location I think the metal would have come from. Can anyone identify these? The motor ran really strong today on the 20 minute test run and starts immediately. Would that be possible if the crankcase was missing this chunk?
Thanks for your help and time!

Not exactly sure what the plastic part is but the metal piece is definitely from the crankcase.

The 951 is very well known to blow out the cases when the crankshaft goes.

Thanks for the response. I checked the entire engine and couldn't find any holes or cracks. Took the ski out yesterday and it ran great with lots of power. Consistently peaked at 55-59mph in very choppy water and cruised for 2 hours. Hoping those pieces were from the previous owner.
