My 2000 GTi was stored for 2 years with full tank of treated gas. I recently put it back in the lake, replaced the spark plugs. Ran OK for a while, now if you try to go faster than about 20mph, it oscillates power (like you're letting off the throttle every 2 seconds). I ran it to about a half tank, then filled it up, seemed to be OK for a while (about 30 minutes), now the problem is back.
Any advice on what I should check/do first?

no dude, i have the same ski, and it was the little ciggarette filter in the carb, and if i remember correctly there is no rave valves on that setup?? its single carb 720
