i just bought this 2000 GTI about 2 months ago. when i bought it, it started fine at the guys house. when i brought it home it wouldn't start. i replaced all fuel lines, rebuilt carb, changed all fuel filters, cleaned selector switch, changed spark plugs. took it out and it ran fine for about 3 hrs and it just died on the water, it acted like it ran out of gas and wouldn't start back up. well now i'm at the point to where it will foul out the spark plug after about 3 mins of running and won't rev up. if you try giving it gas, it bogs down and dies and won't start again unless you change the spark plug then it will start right back up but won't rev. i am clueless as what the problem could be. any help will be of great appreciation.. also i am premixing...

i really don't know.. i had someone do it for me because the oil tank was leaking. all i can see is that he plugged all lines to and from the oil tank next to the fuel tank.

yep...if thats the case (ALL lines plugged up), then you stripped the brass gear, in theRV ASSY.

You can do premix, but need to leave the oil lines (ones without the filter) still in there, flowing oil, to and from the case. It lubes/oil bathes the RV assy..

Do compression test...

the oil line going into the bottom of the engine is full of oil but the smaller one above it that goes in right below the carb is bone dry.. so if it is that brass gear in the rv.. would i have to hook the lines back up and put oil in the tank but just not hook up the cable on the carb?

if you disconnect that line below the rv what will happen? would it cause the problems that i'm having? and where does that oil go if i was to hook it back up. is there a float in the oil tank that would be causing my problems?
