I recently purchased a 2000 GSX from a private seller, unknown history. The first day I had it it was involved in a collision with another seadoo, not sure how it was running prior to the collision (this was literally within 15 of being on the water). The collision visibly broke the intake grate, so i replaced that. I took the seadoo out about 2 weeks later. I rode it for approx 2 hour and everything seemed fine until the 12V low light came on and suddenly I lost all power. I was towed into shore and replaced the battery, took it back out on he water, all seemed fine but at this point I couldn't get any power at all past 2500 RPM. I replaced the rectifier regulator and now can't get past 3300 RPM. I'm at a loss now as to where to go next to fix the problem????:(

I would check the wire connections to be sure it is getting a good ground. Check the connection Ground- at the engine near the starter.

By no power are you saying electrical wise? Can you describe the collision a little more. Did the bow hit the other ski or did the ski hit your stern? Hitting the other ski may be just a fluke thing. Also is it cavitating? Are there a lot of bubbles, but the ski has no go? If you hit the ski hard enough, you may have knoceked the pump loose. If the pump is cavitating too much then there may not be enough pressure to force water through the system causing the motor to heat up and go into limp mode. I know I may be grasping at straws but I think the logic is sound.
