I just realized i have a 2000 GSX Limited, not just the GSX like i thought. does this have a different motor in it? and if so what size? =)

Year model?

Look on the back of the ski to see what year model you have. The last two digits should be the year.

The reason I ask is because the GSX Limited was built in 1999, which doesn't mean you couldn't have bought it as a 2000, I just want to know what the ski is stamped.

The GSX RFI uses the 787cc in both the 99 and 2000 models. The GSX Limited in 99 came out with the 951cc.........

1999?...

Well, if it's a 99, it could be the GSX limited with the 951cc. This engine is a carbed engine. If you think you might have the GSX RFI, then you have fuel injection. These two different type systems should be the easiest way to tell what engine you have.

But the very easiest way is, ......what side the engine lies on. If the engine cants to the Port (left side), it's the 951cc. If the engine cants to the Starboard (right), then it's the 787cc.

shes definitly the GSX Limited, the number ends and 99 and if you look at the pic the word limited is plain as day =) so how are the 951cc motors? kinda sucks fuel injected got better GPH but i will take more horsepower =)

Power...

Yeah, the GSX Limited would be a better buy. In my shop, it'd be preferred. I'm a carb guy. I really don't care for injeciton, though it IS the better system when it comes to efficiency. I'm just old school.

The 787 RFI has about 45 horse power at the pump and the 951 carries about 71 horsepower. So, you can see, there is a big jump there.
