Hello everyone!

I'm new to the thread and look forward to helping anyone I can!

However, I do have somewhat a basic question but I'm not quite sure. I've owned my 2000 seadoo challenger(twin 720, 2 stroke) for about 8 months. Purchased for $800 with only one of the motors able to run. The left motor was filled with oil and starter was burned out. I had some time last week and got all the parts and got the boat running. I've got $1,000 invested so far. It smoked like crazy for the first drive. Really fun thus far.

My questions is;
What kind of water conditions should I veer away or clearly stay away from? I took the boat to lake erie yesterday and waves were 3-4 ft with no whitecaps. Now obviously the boat cant really plane out in was waves like this, right? I'm having a hard time finding info on the water conditions best suited (ect). Any answers or advice would be geeatly appreciated!

All of the smaller boats are really smooth water machines. They’ll handle the chop without a problem, and they are just about unsinkable, but they will really beat you up in the rough stuff. It’s really going to be about your comfort level. I don’t generally take mine out on purpose in anything more than 1-2ft chop, but I just don’t like bouncing around all day.
