2000 Challenger Exhaust Outlet Seal Install tips please

After countless months searching for this part, I have finally come to realize that I will not be able to locate this discontinued part. I took the advise from many of you on this forum and ordered a similar roofing rubber gasket. I just received the part a few days ago and now I'm ready to install the new exhaust gasket seal. I tried to take out the bolts on the boats exterior, they all just spin, I quickly realized there must be a nut on the inside of the boat.

I can't locate this area inside the engine compartment, I cant even see it with a flashlight. How is one suppose to get a tool inside to loosen these bolts. It seems impossible. Both my gaskets are completely rotted and the boat takes on tons of water. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

You may have to use a long extension and maybe even a universal joint adapter on your socket to reach some nuts buried deep into corners. I'm afraid it's quite likely you'll have to crawl deep inside the bilge to find them.

I don't own this particular boat so not really sure, speaking from experience with other boats.

I've also seen some special exhaust outlet tool in the service manual of the skis, not sure if it applies but I don't think so.

My pure guess is I think you can reach them if you crawl deep enough in there?

I have on occasion found boats that were impossible to work on and had to cut access holes through interior panels but those are the exception to the rule.

Vince the issue you're running into with those bolts is that they aren't captive on the backside, and unfortunately I think you will likely need to remove the mufflers to gain access to them unless there's some way to get low enough in the bilge to get a hand and wrench up behind them while someone loosens them from outside the hull.
