I know this has kind of been beat to death but here is my story...I fixed the fuel baffle, Replaced the float and the gauge works, the oil sensor works and its full of oil, but still the constant overheat alarm is going off. If I unplug the fuel sending unit the alarm does not stop. The fuel tank is pretty much empty from winter storage, and I'm going to fill it tonight to see if that is the alarm, but before when I unplugged the sending unit if the fuel was low the alarm would go away. Now here are my questions...if my fuel is low I should be able to hit the switch to kill the alarm but the light will stay on, that does not work? The other thing it could be is the overheat alarm, only problem with that is the boat hasn't been ran since last fall, so I know it is not over heating? any thoughts...oh and when you test the wires on the switch the one that is hot is the blue wire...thanks Dusty

If its a steady alarm... then the fuel has nothing to do with it. Besides, you would have a low fuel switch that will silence that alarm.

If you have an over temp then check the temp sender on the starboard head.

Thanks for the reply, and that's kind of what I thought, It just seemed odd that the boat hasn't even been fired up, but yet my overheat alarm is going off, I will check my temp sender tonight to see if its faulty

Just an update on the 2000 Challenger 2000 the continuous alarm was a low fuel alarm. I thought I would try and fill it up first, to 100% eliminate it being fuel and turns out that's what it was.
