2000 Bombardier Seadoo GTX Lanyard Problem

When I put my lanyard into my 2000 Bombardier Seadoo GTX it dosnt beep like it used to and it won't start at all. What could cause this problem?

check your fuses, whitey...then try, using an eraser and clean the ring post and landyard..

need more info, does it do anything when you install the lanyard, gauges come on? does it crank but not start or do nothing at all? is it completly dead? hows your battery?
