Hello, I have a 2020 RXT-X 300 with less that 10 hours on it. It's just been sitting for 3 years (2 1/2 yrs indoors) with about 8 gallons of 93 octane non ethanol gas in it (18 gal tank). I got all the old gas out, and have fresh 93 octane non ethanol gas in it now. Full.

I have not tried to start it yet. Should I? Or should I definitely have the carb cleaned first?

Thank you.

Well, you don't have a carb so.....

All 4-stroke skis are fuel injected.

Drain the old fuel out, put in fresh fuel and ride. A little something like SeaFoam or Techron can't hurt either but isn't necessary.

I just was reminded that it doesn't have a carb on it. So I can probably just start it up. But it's been sitting. What about Dry rotted O rings or impeller or other things?

Thank you.

Right, someone else just reminded me. Thanks for replying. What about dry rotted o rings or impeller? Thanks.

I should add, if it has been sitting that long standard maintenance should be done such as oil change and spark plugs.

It's a brand new machine with only 6.8 hrs on it. I'm planning on a 10 hr "break in" oil change. (and filter)

Should I stick with that, or do it now? And spark plugs?

Thanks mikidymac

If it has been sitting almost 3 years change the oil before running it and then at 10ish hours. Oil is cheap, engines are not.
