2 stroke oil

Hi,

I have a Utopia 185 2001 & use Mercury Optimax outboard syn blend 2 stroke oil ( Amazon 36 dollar/gallon) but wonder if I can use other oil like for example West Marine sells that is much cheaper? thanks in advance for any suggestions. Fred

Been using Walmart tcw-3 for 15 years in 6 pwcs and recently the Islandia. Works good, and ten bucks a gallon the price is right. Stuff is actually made by Peak I believe.
