As some of you know I am buying a Seadoo boat (99 Sportster 1800), but since I have not bought it yet, I am still looking at Classified ads.

Which leads to this question, is there an online guide to all the different boats Seadoo built in the 90's prefereably with basic stats for each and photos of the layout. The Owners manuals are useless for this as their designs don't match reality in many cases. The more I shop, the more I keep running into stuff that I have not seen before, like today I saw a listing for an unknown year twin 717 "Sportster" but with what looked close to a 1996 Challenger seating arrangement (3 bolstered seats across the back including the driver, 1 rear facing seat and a wide bow seat, but no seat in front of the driver and no L seat at the front) also it has the dual mirror steering wheel pod with 3 gauges.

Usually the 15' boat are 3-4 person max

The 98-99 Speedster with twin 787 has the two captain chairs and sits truly 5 people

The bigger 18' sits 7.
Challenger 787 x 2
Sportster 717 x 2 ( I actually had this model). Very easy and dependable engine combo

One earlier year 4 passenger speedster came with two engine and single water intake underneath boat.
Skip that model.
