2 skis with fuel problems

I have a couple of friends that have problems with their ski's, one is a 1994 Polaris SL650 and the other is a 96 Kaw SLS 750 both seem to act like they are running out of fuel when the tanks get approx 1/2 emptyl, they run good until you get about 1/2 empty on the tank, then act likethey are starving for fuel, if you shut it off and try to restart they will not start. add fuel and they run fine until you burn a couple of gallons, they both have small tanks and seems like you have to refill every couiple of hours. anyone run into a problem like this

Depending on the tank... the internal hoses may have fallen off, or are plugged up.

All you can do is pull the pick-up assembly, and check it out.

That is kind of what I was thinking but did not want to do a lot of work for nothing, Thanks I will try that. The fuel gauge does not work on either so I guess it would be a good time to fix those also
