2 newbie questions! (Sorry)

Hey everyone!!! I have a couple of questions for the list! I have an 09 Wake Pro 215 with 2 hours of use, pretty new! And have seen this since day one:

1) I plug in the key into the ignition it does a high beep and then 2 short beeps. If I unplug the key at that point and plug it back it does only the long beep but not the 2 short ones. If I try to start it, it would not start (nothing). Is this a security measure or something normal? If I wait a couple of minutes it just starts fine.

2) I noticed that when I start the engine I need to rev up if not it dies out. Is this normal? After that if you leave it at idle it is fine (it doesn't die).


Sorry for the newbie questions! Appreciate your help!!!

The machine is brand new. It might be just a dirty lanyard post. I would run it and when you, or the servicing dealer does the 10 hour check done replace the spark plugs. Tell the dealer about it to correct it under warranty.

its the post that the key is place over. wipe out the inside cup of the key too
