Hi all, getting ready to change out the old grey fuel lines this weekend in my 95 SPX and 96 XP, so figured that I need to drain, clean , and refill the oil reservior too.

Is the inline oil fiter a special filter for Seadoos, or is it a generic type filter that I could get at say Autozone or Advance Auto?

Also, why type of tubing is needed if I need to replace the oil lines, and what is the diameter? The ends at the engine are painted white and looked cracked, but they might just be the paint.

Thanks,
Scott

For the 787
pump to injectors 3/32"
Tank to pump 5/16"
Side of block (piston side) to top of tank 1/2"
bottom of tank to block (RV side) 1/2"

For sure do the small lines, if you can inspect the larger lines to make sure they are in good shape and not brittle and can skip those. I do them all so it looks purdy.

Yellow tygon is the best for this, I get it at McMaster Carr, the small 3/32 you can get sometimes from the lawnmower repair section at Home Depot or lowes.

Get the filter from a dealer or other seadoo supply place, sbt, etc

Right, the oil filter is an OEM part only.
DO NOT interchange it with any gas/oil filter that you can get at an auto parts store.

buy 100% Stainless Steel clamps or some people use zip ties.

That's awesome, thanks for the information and the pics. I saw some OEM filters on EBay for around $8, so I'm off to order two there in a minute.

Kicker, It is truly amazing that you can buy the Tygon oil lines with the size and location already on them. :)

I have seen this oil line question many times, so thought it would be worth having this picture. I am sure you will see it used more then once.

Yes, maybe a sticky with that picture for future members or current ones to refer to. Quality picture!A+++

Kicker I absolutely love those lines and am going to do them on my XP. Did you do the small cooling lines on the back of the cylinders and the suction lines?
