Someone has a 1999 Speedster for sale. He says that everything used to work perfectly, however "Boat engines were under water for a day, boat was pulled out, flushed, engine pickled. Did start afterward. Before this, everything worked, and 1 engine was just rebuilt and put in" and he did not try it afterwards. He wants $3K for it, selling as is. Is this a risky purchase?

Thank you

Too risky. If either of the engines are shot you're in for close to $2k which puts you at a running boat. But everything is mint it might be worth it. Is it a salt water boat? If so I'd be very weary.

If it was an easy fix and everything worked before why so hesitant from the PO? Not like it's that hard to start the engines. Smells fishy.
