I purchased a double jet ski trailer and the seller threw in a nonrunning 1999 Seadoo GTI. His son inlaw tried to get it started unsuccessfully. Looks like he just threw new parts at it. Looks like he changed out the MPEM and the Regulator/Rectifier. They look almost brand new.
.
My question is.........If you replace the old MPEM do you have to send it off to get it programmed to the DESS? The MPEM part number is 278000916.

Motor turns over and blows water out of the sparkplug holes. I'm suspecting a blow head gasket or water jacket not sealing.

Crank is toast. Cylinders will have to be bored for oversized pistons. Everything else should be salvageable.
