Hello all. newbe here with my first question. I bought this jetski from a buddy of mine. He told me it had a problem. When he hit a wave it would shut down. So he had a shop put in a new harness and computer in, So I take his word and buy it. Well first wave boom shuts down. Get towed in and by accident I find that find that if I remove the bottom or second from the bottom fuse from the "blue box" in front of the ski I get 2 beeps and she starts. So What Ive done is run a switch from the "blue box" to my glove box in from of the handle bars and IF i hit a wave an she shuts down I just turn off the swich and then back on and she runs all day till I hit another wave. Now what I mean by wave is the impact of comming down on the water. So guess what Im asking is is this a common problem with this ski? And also is it something I might be able to fix? TIA

Hey....recheck the connections, battery, starter, grounds, make sure wires/cables arent burnt/corroded, also, check compression, ideal is 150psi, and one more thing, check clearance between the impellor blade and wear ring, no more than 1mm gap...

You are describing the exact problem I am having with a 1999 GTI except removing fuses does not fix the problem. Previous owner jumped a wake, came down and boom, all electrical is dead. Have you found anything else to solve this issue?
