Bought a '99 GSX RFi and did a top end, more for inspection and assurance hen anything. Got it back together and upon starting, noticed the RAVE valve on the number 1 cylinder was blowing oil out and I took them off and replaced them. Started it and it smokes like a chimney. Replaced the oild pump and calibrated it and it still is pumping excess oil to the number 1. Could it be a seal on the rotary valve shaft? Looking for suggestions.
