i just purchased this boat with the water pressure regulator broken off the water box and i was wondering if it came off because of the boats age and usage or if there is another underlying cooling issue that could have heated up the waterbox and then melted the plastic on the regulator. I have parts to put it all back together, but i was wondering if i either 1. run the boat out of water with the garden hose attached will the pisser indicator function and show that everything in the cooling system is working? or 2. if i run the boat in the lake and the pisser is working (because now the pump is pushing the water instead of the garden hose) that everything is working? Or can there still be a blockage somewhere that can cause a cooling system malfunction? thanks in advance.
