Please help. I found a black wire with a loop connector on it not connected to anything coming about 2 feet off the harness by the fuse banks.. My neighbour said it was hot when he picked it up and sparked.. Any idea where it goes? The previous owner switched to one battery and I am having trouble starting the right motor.. Thank you!!

here u go. thks

it comes out of the y in the harness right by the fuse banks. Also I checked another multimeter which said the battery was 11.2. I have it out and on charge now... thks

The battery bolt will not fit thru it..

The battery is 12.8 now and all turning over good. Left starting fine. Right hard or will not start...

From the factory, it only came with a single battery. Im working at the firehouse till 7am, if you don't have an answer by then, I'll look at mine.

Well first things first.... Find out if it's a ground. Or a 12v wire. Get a multi meter out or even a test light and figure that out. You say it doesn't fit on the battery post. The negative and positive battery bolts/posts are different sizes. So find out why polarity the wire is. Then check to see the wire fits onto the other side of the battery.

Thanks will do.

I just checked mine. That is hooked to the negative side of the battery. The post on the battery you have now may be different from the original, so the connector may be too small. Just put a bigger one on it.

thks. Ill try that. She ran fine all last weekend once I got the right started but now the right will not start again. Hopefully this is my problem..

Each engine has a ground wire coming from the battery as well as a smaller black wire for the radio and lights. There should be 3 black wires hooked to the ground on the battery and one red wire going to the main battery switch.

I have attached the ground wire. It looks like I am looking for a new mpem as my ecm has no reading... Any ideas where I would get one? The right motor fires up after an hour of trying and then runs great!
