Hey guys, I just picked it up on Thursday. Finally had a chance to get her in the water. Had a blast for 1 hour!! Took her up to 50 mph, she was running strong! On the way back to the launch, she stalled. Both engines at the same time. I tried to restrt, but they would turn over.. I waited a minute, they then restarted, and I was back on my way. A minute later, same thing. Stalled. It's repeated itself about 6 times, until I figured out that if I run only one engine at a time, I can go 10mph without stalling, I tried port and starboard, and either engine ran fine. As soon as I run both engines together, stall and wait to restart. Any ideas guys?

Thanks.

Also, may be related... But oil light is on after starting the engine after a stall. Light stays on for about 30 seconds. Oil tank is half full.

There is a chance that:

1) Bad lanyard post. They don't last forever, and are know to wear out. (did all the power shut off too?)

2) Dirty lanyard post. If the MEPM can't read the chip in your lanyard... it will kill both engines. BUT... the power will stay on, and it will beep at you. (does you beeper sound at all? They go bad too)

3) Loose/dirty battery connections. If you have a loose cable... the MPEM will reset if the connection goes "Open" even for a fraction of a second.

4) Once of your voltage regulators is bad. If they pass high voltage (over 14.5v) or pass AC volts... the MPEM and CDI will do crazy stuff.

As a last thought... if your beeper is intermittent, or very quiet... you should change it. It will tell you what's going on... and will sound any warnings.

As far as the oil light.... there could be a open wire, or your level is just at the point where it trips the light. Put a little more oil in it, and see if it gets better.

Thanks for the reply.
1) only the engines quit. I still had power, horn etc... The starters still worked. But the engines did not catch.

2) My beeper sounds, but barely audible. Intermittently. Sometime not at all.

3) ill check battery connections.

4) ill test voltage at fuses tonight.

Try running the blower or having the hatch open a bit.

For some reason the boats seems to not purge the air within the engine compartment very well unless you are moving at a decent speed.

Basically you are trying to start the engine in an environment where there is a decreased amount of oxygen to allow for ignition of the fuel.

Many have found they need to run the blower for 4 minutes if they were running about then idled for a bit.

The beeper needs to be fixed to help you in your troubleshooting. Use Radio Shack Part #273-068 (Dr. Recommended @ $8 vs. OEM price). I just did mine a couple weeks ago and it is a direct replacement (connect to the CONST post). As you are in Ontario, I am unsure what your options are, but this is really the best, inexpensive cost.

I played around with the lanyard tonight. Cleaned it up with my fingernail. And it did the trick. I heard two loud beeps. Way louder than I ever heard before. Both Engines fired right up.

Now since I only have the one lanyard, I'm going to go to my sea doo dealer and pick up a 2nd one,

Thanks again for all your help everyone.

A fellow 4 ringer!

I thought that screen name looked familiar?
Didn't you have threads with the frankenstein turbo and tuning??

90% sure this is the one I used:

They only have two buzzers there. I can check and see if I have the package or receipt when I get back from work. It's an easy fix and you'll be glad you did it. Dan.

I got the buzzer replaced. New one works great. Also, I did some testing in the driveway. Had the garden hose hooked up to the port engine. For some reason after turning the water hose on, the engine would cut out and stall. Almost right away. Starboard on the other hand, had no issue.
Port comp test is 135 and 140psi.
After that, I tried running port with the hose off, but it would still shut down.
It doesn't stumble, it just turns off, and restarts like nothing happended! No buzzer sounds either.
Any ideas?

^ what the idle set at out of the water?
Should be ~3000K

Is this something new or just started?

Always turn engine on then water and water off then engine to avoid water filling exhaust/cylinders.

The tach in the port engine is inop, so I can't verify rpm. SB is 3500rm, and port sounds about the same. I tried swappingg tachs. Problem stayed with the port side. So the tach itself is good.

I followed the Instruction for the flushing to the Tee. I've had the engine idling before, with no issues. But it's the first time I connected the hose. And the first time it would stall at idle. It acted the same way on the lake, but at speed, and with both engines.

This is a weird issue.

Sounds to be fuel issue. The carbs will probably have to come off.
Any history on the engine itself or if carbs have been serviced since last time out from PO?

Did some more digging. When I manually push the fuel pump, fuel only comes out of one side. Ocod, looks like you we're right. Fuel issues. Guess it explains why my plugs are all oil coated.
