1998 SeaDoo XP won't start

Tried starting my XP Limited for first time this season. Battery tested good. XP "beeped" when I put the kill tether on. When I hit the start button, all I got was a very, very short "bump" and then nothing - no power at all - I even tried the VTS and it didn't work unless I pulled the kill tether off and put it back on. When I do this the XP will beep but all I get when I hit the start button is a very short bump like the starter is trying and then nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try jumping the solenoid. Sounds like a poor ground or bad elec connection. Im guessing this wont help, meaning bad starter/bad ground/corrosion. DO you have a multimeter?

Thanks. I'll try jumping the solenoid. Yes, I have a multimeter. I'm leaning towards a frozen starter being I get a short "bump" when I hit the start button.
