Looking for thoughts on what my problem may be. The starboard engine starts and runs at 2500-3000 rpm, but if I rev up or down it dies. Back cylinder looks like it's burning ok, the front cylinder the plug is always wet. I have checked compression, have spark and switched carbs from the port engine that runs fine. Both carbs were recently rebuilt. I am out of ideas.

so what are your compression numbers??o

If you have a flooded cylinder the compression will be higher as you can't compress a liquid.

A 15 psi difference in cylinders is not good ad 125 is low. If it was mine I would pull the head and look for an issue.

Thanks for your feedback. If the piston was scorn on the wet cylinder wouldn't the compression reading be lower, not higher? I am not totally sure what I should be looking for besides that.
