Hello everyone I need some ideas on what could be going wrong with my boat. Just rebuilt both engines all 4 carbs both fuel pumps rebuilt. Have good spark both engines accelerator pump pumps out when hitting gas
left engine will crank but will not idle I have the carbs set at manuals specs
right engine started once or twice and wouldn't stay running and it backfires so I'm assuming that this one the rave valve is not timed just right so I will be checking that one soon but my main question is the left engine not idleing
any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

ok so i got the left engine running good and idleing turns out i just didnt have the idle screw high enough. and i checked the timing on the right engine and it was off a little but just by like 5 degrees but there was gas in the bottom of the engine so i think it may have been flooded so i drained it and im letting it sit to see if anymore goes in there if not im going to try to crank it this afternoon i will keep it posted thanks for the reply howie099

ok so i finally got both of them running gues it was the gas that was in there or something but the carbs are at 1.75 turn out on the low speed and 0 on high speed idle is 2 turns in after touching the lever. im going to take it to the water and do a test run tomorrow afternoon so that will be the real test.
thanks for the replys
