Hey guys I found that my speedster had low compression in one engine so I'm doing a sbt swap. I have a couple questions do I have to align the new engine if I don't take the mounts out of the hull, I need the degree wheel for the rotory valve and bleed the oil lines is there any thing else I should be aware of.
Thanks

Yes you need to align the engine. And before anyone else chimes in.....the boats seem to be far off in alignment from the factory than the skis were.

You need to find out why it died. Going thru the carbs is a MUST.

Went through the carbs just redid them the boat sunk at the dock because of the exhust seals after I got it running again compression went.

I ran it for a while with low compression 90 mag 110 pto but it was super hard to start so new engine it is.

Yep, those seals dry rot in about 5 years time. I always snag them on Ebay when they pop up. I have 4 of them (sorry none for sale) to keep my boat going since they discontinued them.
