1998 Seadoo GTX....What do I have?

Aloha...
I just purchased my first PWC...and I'm going to dive right in...LOL...

This boat needs some electrical work which I am capable of handling but I need some assistance with if it's in fact a GTX/GTS/XP...ect...

Looking up schematics online I'm finding conflicting Seadoo parts manuals between models and need to zero in on what I have. Is there a way to tell by the HIN?...the style of the boat?...ect?...

I have the 717 motor in it...nothing has been molested...the MPREM has one huge connector (not 3 referenced in the parts manual for a GTX)...the only difference is the split seat on mine vs. the other models referenced for my year (verified by the last 2 digits on the HIN "98")....

Any help would be greatly appreciated...Mahalo.

If it is indeed a 98 then it is probably a gti. How about some fotos

split seat with a 717 would be a 98 GTI.. Green and white

Here you go...hopefully it's not a sideways picture with the winner receiving this beautiful pic of it in Hawaii parked in my driveway....LOL...Picked this up for $200 had the 2 chirps but no crank...found out it was the kill switch so now I have direction...Someone also has "modified"...the wiring harness so I'm looking for an original....I'm new to this so we'll see...there's definitely a learning curve and the investment won't break the bank...Will need some cosmetics such as dash and mirrors...is this a rare color?...

I have 2001 of that ski, which has larger rear deck. That 717 is one of the most reliable 2strokes Seadoo made... in about a dozen different models from 96-2002.... but honestly GTI underpowered with that engine with larger wider hull. 42-44mph tops.... I completely repainted it and made new carbon fiber vinyl seats for it....

It looks like you are missing the top section of the hood and both mirrors.

That color scheme is not really rare, as it was also used on both the 96 and 97 GTX models which they made a ton of.
