Hi-my mother-in-law has had this boat in her garage for 4 years. I have finally decided to get it going. I hooked the water hose up and it started right up on the trailer. It ran great for about 10 minutes and then I shut it off. I have a few questions since no one can find the owners manual. I am not sure if any stablelizer was added to gas.
1)Do you think this thing will actually run fine when it hits the water?
2)What kind of oil do you use in the oil resevoir? Is it carried at a place like Pep Boys.
3)There is a WEED Control handle under the steering wheel. What is this used for?
4)Should spark plugs be ok? I thank they were replaced not long before boat was parked.
5)Someone told me to put a container of 2 cycle engine oil in gas tank the first time I run it and it should help.
6)Does anyone know capacity of gas tank?

Thanks for all of your help!

You can try it ,but I wouldn`t go far out.I would change the plugs again and but in some fresh gas.The oil you need is Seadoo XPS or Quicksilver syn. from what people say.the handle is to clear out weeds from jet pump intakes. If you go on this web site to the manual go to `97 challenger and there is an operating manual.the tank holds 40 gallons.bring some extra plugs out with you just in case...jason
