I posted nearly the exact post in the Sea-Doo 4-Tec Boat section regarding a 2005 Sea-Doo Sportster 215. However, this time I'm in the position to buy what appears to be a very good condition 1998 Sea-Doo Speedster. It has a newer Bimini top and trailer. Everything works except for the gas gauge, which is inoperative. The speakers can also use a replacement, even though they are working, because they just don't sound that great. Other than just getting a good detail, it looks and sounds great. What would be considered a good price to get into this boat for?

And I forgot to mention it was just tuned up and had the carburetors cleaned. However, it does have the oil deletion kit installed.

Pics of the boat would help. Being in Floridai would assume the price is a bit lower due to your market. I'll say $4500 possibly is the higher side

Dang Racer you nailed it! Or they did.... https://montgomery.craigslist.org/boa/5662480362.html

It's been for sale for a little while now but is worth all of that money if it's in good order.

Salt use is not good for them. See how stiff the steering, throttle , and grate cables are.

edit- Oh I see it's in Montgomory. That's all fresh water up there if this is the one your considering. If not it gives you something to compare it against.

That isn't the one Iwas looking at, but it does help put it in perspective. I've read the differing opinions of the oil deletion kit, does it hinder the value one way or the other?

Problem is you never know what condition the engines are.. be careful what seems as a low price might turn in to $$$, ask for any documentation on work completed
