Has anyone had this concern before?

The ski will run for a second, then the 15amp fuse will blow in the mpem,
with the fuse replaced, it does the same again?

Any ideas???

Many thanks

Sounds similar to a previous thread, ended up being for him, a loose coil on stator assy. Unplug the wire harness from the flywheel assy, and see what happens. Hopefully it aint the rectifier, cuz its built into the mpem. Whe unplug'n and finding out, make sure you have a fully charged battery and not to far from dock/dont stay out to long, cuz with unplugged, nuth'ns charg'n battery...

It's probably the regulator/rectifier built into the MPEM. I have never done this personally, but you can wire in an external unit without having to replace the entire MPEM. There may be info on this forum, but I know there is info on other PWC forums. PM me if you need more help.

A common problem on those motors is the starter reduction gear (bendix) will sometimes break off some teeth and get jammed between the flywheel and the stator, shorting it out to ground. Make sure you pull the flywheel to inspect the reduction gear.

The dealers say its the stator causing the problem, they wanted £650 to repair???
I found a company that reconditions and exchanges the units for £130, and they are not hard to replace!
Once i have replaced it, i will let you know the outcome,
thanks for all the advice
