1998 GTX LE fuel selector valve

Ok Guys, Just finished replacing all fuel lines and putting this thing back together. One question is which way do the hoses run coming off the fuel selector valve once in place, towards the front or towards the rear of the seadoo. I am kinda lost on this one, And stumped because it can go either way by just flipping the black plastic knob.

There should be a little nub sticking out that fits into a small recessed slot on the hull. The nub sits right in there.
