1998 GTX accelerating slowly

I just got a 98 GTX limited seadoo and its struggling off the line very badly and only doing 4,200 rpm.

I think it might be a strectched throttle cable.

What do you think it could be?

how many hr and have you done any maitenance on it befor?

Couldnt that also be wear ring?

Could be but his rpm's are down so id think carb rebuild maybe. also does you ski have gray fuel lines?

When was the last time the powervalves were cleaned/serviced? Valves stuck open will cause what you are describing. But as the others have stated, could be carbs as well. But my first thought would be power valves.

And ya know, try a fresh set of plugs and snipping the ends of the plug cables to get to fresh windings. Check the simple things first.
