1997 XP Fire Extinguisher Placement

I bought a XP two months ago and I've been trying to figure out where does the fire extinguisher store. In California, if I've read the handbook correctly, you need to have a fire extinguisher. Can anyone help out with this?

it is usually under the front hood. There is(should be) a removable basket there with plastic accessories to store the fire extinguisher and maybe another to store some tools. If you open the hood and see into the hull, then someone removed your basket.
