1997 Sportster Temperature Sensor

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew how to hookup the temperature sensor on the Rotax 717. I bought the sending unit and I know it threads into the top of the engine, but I can’t figure out how to hook it up to the MPEM. I have a small wire that I believe hooks up to it but am not sure how to attach it. Here’s what my temperature sensor looks like

Order the correct one.
