So here is the scoop. Purchased a 1997 speedster a few weeks, back. Got a decent price on it since the interior was all good and not tore up. Had some cavitation so thought it was wear rings or carbon rings. Turned out to be carbon rings. Boat was running like a champ on Tuesday when I water tested after the carbon ring changes. So went o use the boat today, it needed gas, so I hit up Costco for some 93 octane. Headed to the lake, and boat starts and runs fine but the engines won't run up together. I throttle up, and as things come up the starboard engine will rise then drop down to 3000 this causes the port engine to drop down as well. Individually both engines will throttle up to ~6000 rpm but together no. It seems like a fueling problem. But how did that happen just from gassing it up?
