Yeah like the title says, took the boat out yesterday, for about two hiurs the drivers side engine ran fine, then all of a sudden it wouldn't rev past 4000 rpm. Kinda like ut was straining or something, but not sure. Engine starts ok, and idles ok, but wont rev past 4000. Jet pump looked clear.

Also, from the get go, every time I hit a kind of big wave, both engines would kill. I thought it might been the dess lanyard, so I taped it firmly in place. Still does it.

I am completely baffled.

Since it's sensitive to bumps... I'm going to say it's electrical. I'd start by opening ALL the connections, and looking for a corroded pin... or loose wire.

Also... make sure the battery(s) cables are tight and clean. And that the battery(s) are strapped down. I had an ATV that would do that. Come to find out that the battery was loose, and shorting out. (lol)
