Hi guys, I took my boat a couple of weeks ago and I thought that the guy I took it to fixed the problem but he didn't. The starboard motor is okay runs good but the port side not so well. The first time I took it out to test it, the rpm was really unstable on port side. It clicks and the rpm hours up and down and so on unless I push the left throttle up a bit and it stays on. Does this mean the port side throttle needs to be adjusted? Does the carbs need to be serviced? It's also lacking power and acceleration. I'm just going try and do it myself since I can't trust any of these guys/shops to do anything right. Any suggestion or recommendations in what I should look at is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Seems like it needs an adjustment at the least. We need engine compression numbers on both cylinders from both engines, then see how far the mixture needles are turned out on the port motor.

Lacks power and accel on both engines or just the port?

The port seem to be the one havng the most issues. But I'm sure the star board side need a little bit of adjustments. I will check compression soon as I get off of work and will update you with numbers.

When i have weird problems like that i start with new plugs. It can really make it run weird.
