1997 SEADOO challenger top speed

We took our recently serviced 97 Challenger out on the lake yesterday and we were amazed to get it up to 68 MPH...thinking if I had gone out alone, I might have been able to push it to 70-75...what is the typical top speed on this model and year?

Yea, can sure feel like 70! But the speedo isn't very accurate...

LoL 70 I think our 95 speedster with 2 people and twin engines tops out at 47-48 ant the gps and speedo seem to be close most of the time,.

The stock speedo is junk.

an 1800 with 2 people, and fresh engines, and perfect pumps... is 54mph tops. Normally they run right at 50 mph.

if my challenger could go 68, I wouldn't have sold it !

Yea, can sure feel like 70! But the speedo isn't very accurate...

My speedo seems to be quite accurate; GPS agreed that I'm doing 48-50 tops!
It also agreed that it FEELS like 70+!
