Any help appreciated we have just replaced the gaskets in our challenger engine and carbs

on a sea trial the right engine revs upto 7000 rpm but the other runs to 3000 then cuts out or drops to 1000 for around 10 15 seconds then shuts down we have tried taking them both up through the rev range together but the left just shuts down or stays at 3000rpm

anyone dealt with this problem only though we have is carbs but what as they were set up according to manual

many thanks bigoggie

Sounds like you have a fuel supply issue. Either you didn't rebuild the carbs correctly... or you have an air leak... or your fuel select valve has gone bad.

many thanks have now changed over the carbs and replaced the plugs and cleaned the fuel taps out. had a sea trial
both engines run upto 3500 - 4000 revs the right hand engine will go to over 7000. but the left hand engine goes up to 7000 for a second then dies. like it is fuel starvation or an electric cut out

any thoughts please
