1997 Sea doo Gtx 787cc only reving up to 5,800 rpms

I have my 1997 sea doo gtx that I have been working on for awhile and I am beginning to get the rave valves cleaned up real nice, and I was running at about 6,400 rpms just yesterday and I adjusted the rave valves and now I am only getting 5,800 rpms. I did a compression check and the cylinders and it read only 75 psi which I thought could not be true but the ski does reach 7,000 rpms out of water. Anyone else have this problem?

Could it also be impeller damage?

Check compression with a different gauge and report back.

TopRPM out of the water means nothing.
