We just bought a used Seadoo and had it completely repaired thru a Seadoo dealer. Its running Great. My question is we live on a lake so we have been leaving it in the water. When we go to ride it each day we notice that it has water iinside it. Then it hesitates to start but evenually does. Is this normal or should water not be getting inside???????????

seadoo's aren't not meant to be left in the water for any length of time( overnight). If you must check it for the leak..the jet pump boot behind the engine will leak sometimes, give it a look.

i used to leave my 93 GTS in the salt all summer. 2 pumps. 2 driveshafts. exhaust rusted through. broke every head bolt. now it is in the back yard waiting for me to scrape the barnacles off it and build it from scratch. it was our first ski. i am not gonna let it go.

Hmmm....I wouldn't leave these things in the water for any extended period of time....weeks, months, through a winter, etc.

But during houseboat trips, the GTX and the HX have been in the water for several days in a row without filing up with any significant amount of water. They do get run each day, so anything in there is blown out with the venturi tubes.
