I have a 97 GTX that is having a few issues. When I put it up last year the speedo and fuel gauge was working fine. I was having a 12 volt low issue. When I took it to the lake for the first time this year my fuel gauge was not reading and neithier is the speedo. Paddle wheel on bottom is fine and all fuses are also. Could the rectifier that most likely is causing my 12 volt low issue also cause speedo and fuel gauge issues. Any help with this would be great.

the 12v low is usually caused from a battery that is getting old and isn't a problem at all, seadoo set the minimum voltage a little too high on those models. if it still starts and works fine, it's fine.
the fuel gauge and speedo are probably the most common failures of all time. I suspect they are separate issues and just happened to fail at the same time, you can check your fuses first but I'll bet they are fine.
the fuel gauge problem is most likely the baffle in your tank, unplug the connector and put a jumper wire between the terminals on the gauge side, it should read full tank.
the speedo problem is probably the speed sensor, they fail all the time.

The battery is brand new and reading 12.8 volts on the meter. It was killing the battery after a week of sitting last year or after a long day out on the lake.
