Hello All,
I'm about to close up the case on our 1997 GTX 787 and in looking at the Wiseco piston kit it appears that there are no thrust washers. I called Wiseco and got the audible deer in the headlight response as they were not entirely sure. I purchase part 420 290 421 at a local dealer. This is the needle bearing (uncaged) with two end washers which, I assume, are the thrust washers..? But in comparing the OEM bearing to the Wiseco caged needle bearings, the dimensions (width) are identical, thereby making the thrust washer unecessary? Do I not need the thrust washers with an aftermarket, caged bearing assy?
Any info would be appreciated!
Thanks...
