1997 GTS NO Spark

I put the battery in and it fired up and then died. Now no spark. Don't know where to start...coil, etc? Any suggestions?

fuses?

You check the fuse?.......If you had spark, turn it over to run, then lose it, this would be the first thing I'd check. Second would be the ground. :cheers:

I should have mentioned the fuses are good. This is the first thing I checked. I will go through the grounds.

if grounds are clean/good, then try this...
Unplug the black/red wire between the mpem and coil and see if it starts. If it does, you have an issue with a switch or the rev limiter in the mpem. If it doesn't, the stator or coil are the places to look. Also, if it does start with that unplugged, be prepared to kill with the choke since the stop and lanyard buttons are bypassed
