1997 gts no beeps no spark

When I plug the DESS key there are no beeps. The engine turns over with the starter button but no spark. In addition, the engine continues the turn over and I have to pull the DESS key to get it to stop.

Not sure what needs replacing, so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

two problems, the beeper has gone out..... cheapest and smallest of your problems

second, the MPEM has issues!!! check all fuses and make sure it is dry and try it again. if you have to pull the key to stop the starter from turning over, the MPEM is damaged.

The older GTX's would do this when the VTS shorted but your ski does not have VTS.
